The handle applicator PROGRIP E 90° is a variation of the PROGRIP basic model and attaches handles to many different products, be they cartoned or shrink-wrapped.

The operational principle of PROGRIP E 90° has been aimed at large, lightweight or soft products. The handles are attached from the side onto the production units.

The principle of permanently rotating paddles in the PROGRIP has been varied in the PROGRIP E 90°. A flexible finger that effortlessly adjusts itself in particular to long product formats, executes the attachment of the carrying handles. The products are conveyed to this finger by a running chain so that a precise attachment, including lightweight product units, is always ensured.

The PROGRIP E 90° embodies all the advantages of the project-Machine Family PROGRIP. This fully developed mechanism ensures a trouble-free function and minimises the requisite servicing outlay. The re-tooling time of PROGRIP E 90° from one product format to another is extremely short.

All conventional formats are embedded as a formula in an operating terminal, thus alleviating modification time when changing the format. The use of pre-shaped adhesive tape as well as the use of a paper magazine guarantee long running times as the operator need only intervene every 3 to 9 hours to change the reel. Error messages are displayed in the terminal, so allowing the operator to intervene quickly to rapidly and accurately rectify the causes of possible defects. Depending on the size and shape of the products, the PROGRIP E 90° copes with up to 50 units per minute.

The PROGRIP E 90° can be installed either as a one or two-line machine. Both models can be positioned anywhere in the production line. The self-supporting welded machine frame can be supplied in either a painted version or in stainless steel. All adhesive tape dispensers are integrated in the machine. A second dispenser can be embedded to ensure a shorter roll exchange time. All areas involved in the operation are freely accessible.
