The company FSP FRiScHE was founded in 1993 and is one of the leading suppliers of fresh juices in Europe.

FSP FRiScHE is the market leader for refrigerated juices in grocery stores in Germany, Great Britain and Denmark and is also the market leader for “catering and Gastronomy” in Germany.  In 2006, FSP FRISCHE established the fi rst  refrigerated not from-concentrate (NFC) juice under the well-known brand name Valensina.

Fruit juice, packed by Meypack

FSP FRiScHE GmbH chose a Meypack VP 511 SW 60 T wrap-around case packer/shrink wrapper to pack its juices in round bottles. The machine packs the juices in trays, wrap-around cases and trays with film. The project was realised within the framework of a completely new filling line.

The Meypack VP 511 SW 60 T – a wrap-around case packer/shrink wrapper – packs round PET bottles containing freshly squeezed and refrigerated juices from FSP FRiScHE GmbH in sizes ranging from 250 ml to 1 litre, in trays, wrap-around cases or trays with film. The machine is designed so that the format changes from 3×2 to 4×3 can be easily carried out. The 250 ml bottles are packed in either wrap-around cases or trays with film. The bottles up to 500 ml are only packed in trays with film while the 1 litre bottles are packed in product height trays.

The Meypack machine is not only equipped with a large blank magazine but also has an individual segment lane dividing system. During the first step of the process, the products are transported from the filling section by a single lane infeed system into the double lane packaging lanes. in the second step, the lane dividing system distributes the products according to the desired formation. To ensure packaging integrity and quality, the machine has been equipped with a sensitive photo sensor. This sensor monitors both the integrity of the cases or trays and also checks that all of the case flaps have been properly sealed.

The SW 60 T shrink wrapper that takes over from the case packer has been equipped with a semi-automatic “Flying Splice” that dramatically reduces the fi lm change time. In addition, this machine utilises a single roll system that can work well with print registered film. The absence of a sealing beam is a unique feature; after the products have been wrapped in fi lm there is only one seal. When printed fi lm is being used, as in the case of FSP FRiScHE GmbH, this single roll system is well suited because only one bottom seal is created and the print registered fi lm can be centred precisely.

The machine and the switch cabinets are made of stainless steel to meet the strict production standards.
