Meypack New multi-line palletising system

    Posted in Meypack

Palletising units in particular require not only a significant amount of floor area but also typically need a high ceiling to accommodate the equipment. These two aspects, both keeping costs down as well as saving space, were decisive factors behind the development of Meypack’s new multi-palletising system.

Telescopic lifting table

In order to be able to simultaneously palletise end packaged products from two packaging lines per multipalletiser, the system has been equipped with a double-lane infeed. Various products can be fed into the system in each lane. During the palletising process, either line 1 or line 2 is triggered and the products of the chosen line are palletised on one of the two pallets. During this time, the products on the other line start accumulating to be palletised ontothe second pallet once a complete layer on the first pallet has been formed.

The capacity of this multi-palletiser is highly competitive. In the application described above, one multi palletiser system processes 5 layers per minute or approximately 35 pallets an hour. Once the entire system has been expanded to include two multi-palletising systems running side-by-side, the output can be increased to 10 layers per minute or respectively 70 pallets per hour.

The entire palletising system, referring to both multi palletisers,is outfitted with an empty pallet magazine and transport system, which transports the empty palletsfrom the pallet magazine to the respective palletisers. The empty pallet magazine can hold up to 15 empty pallets. A joint full pallet transport system ensures the transport ofthe pallets to the common pallet wrapper, which wraps the pallets in stretch film to protect the products. The system can handle all common pallet formats.

Meypack multi-line palletiser

The system is equipped with two switch cabinets, one for each palletiser, plus one common operator panel, significantly simplifying customer handling. In addition, the machine is equipped with servo-drives that execute the palletising procedure in a more gentle and defined manner. Toothed belts ensure smooth and quiet operation of the lifting table and table tops and need not be oiled or greased –of great benefit particularly in the food industry.

Features:

  • palletises up to four end-packaging lines simultaneously
  • palletises wrap-around cases, trays, trays with lids, multipacks and crates
  • huge cost and space savings
  • particularly user-friendly thanks to common transport technologyand operator elements
  • continuous flow due to meypack’s telescopic lifting table
  • output of up to 70 pallets per hour
  • constructed in Meypack’s cleandesign execution
